Is this legal?
Chat Studio makes fictional, dramatised conversations for entertainment and storytelling. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, WhatsApp, Telegram, Apple, Google or OpenAI. Using it to deceive people, fake evidence, fake testimonials, scams, is against our terms.
Do the people in my videos need to be real?
No, and they shouldn't be, unless you have their permission. Use the built-in character library or invented names.
What do I get when I export?
A real video file: MP4 (H.264) for social platforms, or transparent WebM/ProRes MOV for editing, up to 4K and 60fps.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It all runs in your browser. (Highest-quality ProRes exports come from running the app locally, instructions in the studio.)
How much does it cost?
Nothing during the beta, everything is unlocked. Pro pricing (around $9/mo) arrives later, and beta users will hear first.
